January 2016.
Our Diamond Jubilee year began at our January meeting on 6th with a very interesting presentation by Brian Lewis on the Life & Work of Cole Porter. Brian gave us a slide show presentation and played many examples of Cole Porter's works, readily answering questions from members. Feedback since has been very positive.
Our other event this month was our post Xmas Lunch at Noddfa, 28 members attended the lunch; where the sisters always look after us so well. We had choices for a wonderful 3 course meal, followed by more cake, coffee & mince pies, see photos in our 2016 Gallery

This month we were visited by Pam and Bill Broughton from The North Wales Bird Trust. They brought along Nia, Wallis & Kilmousky (pictured). Pam gave a fascinating talk about Owls and the Owl's Trust and we were able to stroke Wallis & Kilmousky; it was Nia's first trip to a group so she made an appearance and coped well but is too shy at present to get too close to people other than Pam & Bill. For more info visit their website: www.theowlstrust.org or find North Wales Bird Trust on Facebook.
On Saturday May 7th we joined members from Llanbedr/Talybont & Llandudno Institutes for Boccia & New Age Curling, great fun, pictures in the Gallery. Also this month 11 members attended an afternoon tea arranged by the Conwy Valley Group, in Talybont Village Hall; entertainment was provided by Gaz ('Bollywood Burnout') after which members enjoyed a sumptuous selection of sandwiched and cakes )photos can be found in the Gallery 2016).
